Mandate

UNDP works in about 170 countries and territories, helping to achieve the eradication of poverty, and the reduction of inequalities and exclusion. We help countries to develop policies, leadership skills, partnering abilities, institutional capabilities and build resilience in order to sustain development results.

Involvement with SBP

The Standby Partner portfolio is managed by the Crisis Bureau within UNDP.

UNDP has been contributing and engaging with the SBP Nnetwork in the following ways:

Participation and active engagement in at least one of the existing Working Groups.
Participation and engagement at the Annual Consultation and Mid-Annual Consultation.

Profiles

Within UNDP, top profiles requested and deployed to Country Offices are areas related to governance, conflict prevention, disaster risk reduction and preparedness, debris management and Humanitarian Development Nexus.
